Autumn in the Bush with Jessie

I went for a wander in the bush with my friend Jessie a few days ago.

I had one shoot originally planned with Jessie, which was for my Greek Mythology portfolio (photo won't be released for a little while yet though) :)
Straight after that shoot we shot a few more portraits in the dead ivy crown that mum and I made, then we got talking about other photos that would look really cool and before you know it we had Jessie organised to come back the next day for another shoot.

We decided that we wanted to do a bit of an old-worldly, yesteryear look, so we both hit the op shops before the shoot and got two perfect dresses for the grand price of $8.50.

We headed out on the Rails to Trails tracks where I often go walking with my Salty Sea Dog, as that place just has a real feel about it. It's like stepping into another world for me, especially at this time of year.

Jessie was an incredibly graceful and elegant model, but was also quite competent in the art  of whacking spider webs out of the path with a stick. A true all rounder.
Jessie just has the most amazing hair, and when you combined it with the autumn colours of the bush it just came to life.

Shooting such a happy and funny person who also has such glorious skin and hair in the beautiful Margaret River bush just makes me so so so happy.

I shot most of these with my Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM again, I just can't go past that lens for portraits. I love the soft feel it creates.

p.s Thanks mum for being the artificial wind x
